Lab 14 Reflection

For a day that Mrs. Ramirez wasn't in class, she gave us a simple task to do in class which would eventually be graded. Basically, our first task was to create an unplugged activity for freshmen in order to show them something cool during the Hour Of Code Week. After we wrote our ideas down, we would later be given the task to complete days assigned by Mrs. Ramirez on Javascript30. Javascript30 is an intense coding program which is free and anybody can join. It is designed to be able to complete 30 days worth of several Javascript aspects and skills in the matter of 30 hours or so. We had to watch a video for each day, which in them the guy would explain step by step to have the various skills of Javascript to function properly on any HTML Page. Then right after, we would have to download the starter kit in order to get the same files and work on it so that the javascript functions work based on the video. Lab 14 was a Drum Start Kit; this lab is basically calling for a specific sound assigned for different letter keys on the keyboard when struck. Also, when the key is struck upon, the same key on the screen should in some way pop up creating a sound and a background color on the key. It was a lot of fun as I got to play around with the different sounds of the drum.
Overall, this lab was very simple yet sort of difficult. I personally added a Charlie Brown gif as the background and changed the fonts as well as the colors of it. The styling was made by me. It was some sort of practice given to us by the teacher so that our knowledge in programming keeps expanding and whatnot. It was actually really fun doing this as we got to be creative. I will try to add this sort of practice in my future labs, projects or index for either or.
