Lab 35 Reflection

   Lab 35 was the 22nd video to the whole Javascript30 series and what I have to do for this one was to do a follow along navigation where I have certain highlighted words that will glow when hovered on and it will take you to a website of that specific word. Some of the words that I have that can be hovered over is in the navigation bar. Plenty of other words are in the rest of my website which are in separate paragraphs like "cats, ice cream, snow, coffee, anime, and party", when hovered over, the background color would be yellow and the font color would be red. I picked those colors because I felt like the colors would match with the theme of my website. Yellow because of the same color of my header and red since it is a bold stain color on a light yellow. Overall, all I did was a gif background to make it look interesting and attractive and tried to add colors that would flow. Following along the video of javascript30 made this lab pretty simple and easy since the only thing I had to exclusively change were the words and the links for each of them.
   Overall, this lab was entertaining since it was interactive and the user can have fun looking at the animation. I found it to be much fun to personalize this website any way that I want to so I have the opportunity to be creative. Having the chance to make a website as creative as I want actually motivates me to try harder when it comes to some designing part of the website building. Aside from the website building, I also liked the sort of information I added onto the website. I guess I add a lot of personal information here and there to make my site more about me, of me, and prove that it was made by me. This lab was actually cool.

Lab 29 Reflection

 Lab 29 was the sixteenth video to the whole Javascript30 series and what I have to do for this one was to have text where it would have many different shades of colors to it when moving the mouse all over the page. So basically, I customized the website so that it would have the word "WOAH!" and many different colors that would go with the background gif I found on the internet. The background gif actually comes from a tv show I used to watch and its pig that blinks named Waddles. I really like how Waddles is right in the middle giving this simple website some color and vibrant vibes. The pink header fit in with my background perfectly and having the words be of various other colors, it was able to stand out from the almost dominant pink background.    Overall, this lab was fairly simple and easy to finish in my opinion. Dropbox Trip Reflection Journal 04/24

    So, while sophomores were taking PSATS and juniors were also taking SATS, a couple of us lucky Web seniors were able to go on an exciting trip to Dropbox. It was located near 23rd street on either the E or M train, which was very convenient for all of us. We had to be there at around 12:45pm, which was not possible and ended up getting there a little after 1. It affected us negatively as we were behind schedule, as well the Dropbox people said, so couldn't fully enjoy their working space and environment.     We got to the building and Dropbox was located on one of the floors. The other floors were also occupied by other companies such as SoundCloud, which I found to be very cool. Anyways, we take the elevator to go up to them and are greeted by this nice and warm lobby. Lab 17 Reflection

   Javascript30 is an intense coding program which is free and anybody can join. It is designed to be able to complete 30 days worth of several Javascript aspects and skills in the matter of 30 hours or so. We had to watch a video for each day, which in them the guy would explain step by step to have the various skills of Javascript to function properly on any HTML Page. Lab 17 was the fourth video to this whole series and basically all you had to do was check the console of the page. You can check my right clicking on the mouse or using two fingers on a mac and you'll see some sort of tabs pop-up. You would click on the one that says "Inspect" and you'll be able to thoroughly look through the code and the console itself. In the coding, I wrote a lot about people's first and last name and years; it was a lot of information and you won't see this on the page but the console, which stores data.
