Project 6 - Spring Project Final

   For Project 6, it actually took me a very long time to stop procrastinating and actually put in a lot of effort. To begin with, I had a clear image of what I wanted my website to look like. The template itself can be reflected through my wireframe; I also had in mind of what I wanted my topic to be. I wanted it to be something I would be sincerely interested learning about more and something that I genuinely enjoy in general. That would be music. I love how broad and diverse music can be that it's so simple to enjoy. So, I decided to choose genres I usually listen to and am really passionate about. I decided to do half spanish and half english as I feel that's what I would usually bump to on a regular basis. Making this website actually reminded me a lot of my mom as she's a huge lover of music as well and learning about the history of these genres actually ignited my interest even more in these genres. I found out a lot of things that I didn't know about before. I struggled a lot putting things into the position I wanted and finding certain pictures, but now that I'm done, I feel a huge sense of relief. I learned a lot more about time management and troubleshooting. If I had put in more time into this project, I wouldn't have stressed out a lot as I did. In general, I really loved making this website.
   I also want to thank my peers for helping me out here and there when coding got tough. I always had several questions on why sometimes my website wouldn't function the way I wanted it to, so I received a lot of feedback from the web family. I t was a lot of fun actually struggling and stressing this website as I feel it is another experience to learn from for future purposes. A lot of my web design skills were put into use here so I felt I also received a lot of practice in doing this project.

Lab 29 Reflection

 Lab 29 was the sixteenth video to the whole Javascript30 series and what I have to do for this one was to have text where it would have many different shades of colors to it when moving the mouse all over the page. So basically, I customized the website so that it would have the word "WOAH!" and many different colors that would go with the background gif I found on the internet. The background gif actually comes from a tv show I used to watch and its pig that blinks named Waddles. I really like how Waddles is right in the middle giving this simple website some color and vibrant vibes. The pink header fit in with my background perfectly and having the words be of various other colors, it was able to stand out from the almost dominant pink background.    Overall, this lab was fairly simple and easy to finish in my opinion. Dropbox Trip Reflection Journal 04/24

    So, while sophomores were taking PSATS and juniors were also taking SATS, a couple of us lucky Web seniors were able to go on an exciting trip to Dropbox. It was located near 23rd street on either the E or M train, which was very convenient for all of us. We had to be there at around 12:45pm, which was not possible and ended up getting there a little after 1. It affected us negatively as we were behind schedule, as well the Dropbox people said, so couldn't fully enjoy their working space and environment.     We got to the building and Dropbox was located on one of the floors. The other floors were also occupied by other companies such as SoundCloud, which I found to be very cool. Anyways, we take the elevator to go up to them and are greeted by this nice and warm lobby. Lab 17 Reflection

   Javascript30 is an intense coding program which is free and anybody can join. It is designed to be able to complete 30 days worth of several Javascript aspects and skills in the matter of 30 hours or so. We had to watch a video for each day, which in them the guy would explain step by step to have the various skills of Javascript to function properly on any HTML Page. Lab 17 was the fourth video to this whole series and basically all you had to do was check the console of the page. You can check my right clicking on the mouse or using two fingers on a mac and you'll see some sort of tabs pop-up. You would click on the one that says "Inspect" and you'll be able to thoroughly look through the code and the console itself. In the coding, I wrote a lot about people's first and last name and years; it was a lot of information and you won't see this on the page but the console, which stores data.
